New Arrival: Tree Bicycle Co. Aluminium Pegs
Below we have a snapshot of Sam Schulte (the mastermind behind Tree Bicycle Co.) putting the new extra-light Tree Aluminium pegs to the test. Sam does not only know a thing or two about designing and manufacturing bike-parts. He's also a real rider and shreds. Honestly, how many company owners these days can go out and grind a rail like that?!
Sam had this to say about Tree's newest product:
"The pegs are made of full 7075 t6 aluminum, which grinds faster than titanium pegs. They will be sold as single pegs. The peg will be sold as a skatepark specific peg, but we have used them on smooth cement ledges and they hold up fine (think skateboard trucks). The internal butting and wall thickness was designed to withstand heavy icepick chink tricks and stalls. I actually bent the rear-end of my frame trying to icepick as hard I could over 40 times on our cement testing ledge and I still did not dent the wall of the peg."
The pegs will come in:

-1.5” dia 14mm hole black anodize

-1.5” dia 3/8” hole black anodize

-1.375” dia’ 14mm hole in black, red, green, blue & gold anodize.

-1.375” dia’ 3/8” hole in black, red, green, blue & gold anodize.

-1.5” dia peg weighs 7.7oz/216g a set!!

-1.375” dia peg weighs 6.9oz/194g a set!! This is half the weight of the lightest pegs currently available.
