Here are a few spy pictures of the new Tree stem. The stem clamps the headtube with a slit tube piece machined with a taper. As the stem bolt clamps the handlebar it also compresses the slit tube around the headtube. Its possible to adjust the bars separate from the headtube by loosening only the bolts in the front of the bar.
The stem is made from 6061 t6 aluminum. The first prototype weighs in at 7.9oz. It is proudly made in the USA at Super Rat Machine shop!
